1st Day: MALTA AIRPORT (ARRIVAL)
Arrival at the international airport of Malta and transfer to hotel. Free time at the centre of the city. Dinner and overnight stay.
2nd Day: MALTA
After breakfast we will meet our guide and we will start a full day tour. We will drive down to St. Paul’s Bay and we will stop outside the Church of the Bonfire. According to tradition the site where the Church of the Bonfire is located is where St. Paul first reached land and made a bonfire. There we will also see St. Paul’s Islands from the coastline, which was the place the locals believed the shipwreck took place (optional boat trip weather permitting). Outside view of the Chapel of St. Paul’s shipwreck. Then, we will depart for Rabat, where we will enter St. Paul’s Grotto, where St. Paul lived during his short stay in Malta. The grotto forms part of the parish church also dedicated to him. We will visit St. Paul’s Catacombs found nearby and the Chapel of St. Agatha. Then, we will return back to our hotel.Dinner and overnight stay.
3rd Day: MALTA
After breakfast we will have a short walk into Mdina, Malta’s old capital city, we will visit St. Paul’s Cathedral, which will be another highlight of our trip. Free time and then, we will depart from Mdina and we will drive to Valletta, in order to visit St. Paul’s Shipwreck Church and visit two relics of St. Paul’s (possibility to hold mass to be prebooked – donation at the church is required). Then, we will return back to our hotel.Dinner and overnight stay.
4th Day: MALTA AIRPORT (DEPARTURE)
After breakfast we will have free time at the centre. Then, we will depart for the airport with the best memories.
