Day 1 | Arrival at Larnaca Airport – St. Barnabas Monastery & Tomb Ancient Salamis – Paphos Overnight
Upon arrival at the airport, we will depart for our daily tour excursion. We will cross the checkpoint at Vryssoulles into the Turkish-occupied area of Cyprus. Our first visit will be to the Monastery and Tomb of St. Varnavas, the founder of the Cypriot Church in 61 AD. Next, we will explore Ancient Salamis, the island’s first Hellenistic settlement and its original capital dating back to 1100 B.C. The ruins, which extend over a radius of 5 km, include an impressive and well-preserved Gymnasium and Amphitheatre, offering ample time to explore. We will depart for our hotel for dinner and overnight stay

Day 2 | Paphos – Paphos Overnight
After breakfast, we will begin our excursion with a visit to “Petra tou Romiou”, known as the Birthplace of Aphrodite, where, according to legend, the goddess of love and beauty emerged from the sea. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the stunning view of the crystal-clear waters and the charming bay. Our next stop is Paphos, one of the most historically significant towns in Cyprus, home to numerous monuments listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. We will visit the St. Solomoni Catacombs and St. Paul’s Pillars. We will then continue to the House of Dionysos, renowned for its exceptionally well-preserved floor mosaics depicting scenes from Greek history and mythology, as well as intricate geometric patterns. Our final stop of the day will be the magnificent Tombs of the Kings, where prominent figures – and possibly kings were laid to rest. We will then return to our hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 | Troodos – Omothos Village – Kykkos Monastery – Paphos Overnight
After breakfast, we will depart for our daily excursion through the mountain villages, exploring the lush heart of Cyprus. Starting from Limassol and passing by Kouris Dam, the largest on the island, we will visit Omodos Village, renowned for its wine and intricate lacework. This picturesque village features narrow streets lined with white stone houses adorned with colorful flowers cascading from balconies, all centered around the Holy Cross Monastery. We will also visit one of the traditional houses. Next, we will continue to Platres Village and the Troodos Mountains, enjoying the stunning views along the way. After a short break, we will visit the famous Kykkos Monastery, the largest and wealthiest monastery in Cyprus. Here, we will explore the monastery and its impressive collection of icons, including one believed to have been painted by the Apostle Luke. The monastery’s museum is another highlight, and there will be an opportunity to purchase local products made by the monks or local artisans. Before leaving the area, we will make a brief visit to the tomb of Archbishop Makarios, located nearby. We will then return to our hotel for dinner and an overnight stay

Day 4 | Larnaca – Departure Larnaca Airport
After breakfast, we will depart for our daily excursion, driving westward toward Larnaca, the third-largest city in Cyprus. Larnaca was the second home of Lazarus, who lived here and later became a bishop. We will have time to visit the impressive 10th-century Church of St. Lazarus in the town center, built over the saint’s tomb and considered one of the finest examples of Byzantine architecture in Cyprus. We will then take a stroll along the famous Palm Promenade, lined with cafés, restaurants, and various entertainment options. Our tour continues to the ruins of the ancient city of Kition, founded by settlers from Mycenae in the 12th century B.C. On the outskirts of Larnaca, we will visit the Hala Sultan Tekke, one of the most important monuments in the Muslim world. The mosque is beautifully situated beside a scenic salt lake, a favored winter habitat for flamingos and other migratory birds.
