Day 1 | Arrival at Thessaloniki Airport – Thessaloniki

Overnight Arrival at the Airport of Thessaloniki and we will be heading to the second largest city of Greece, Thessaloniki. It was founded by the ascendant of Alexander the Great, Cassander. We will have free time in the city for personal activities. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 | Philippi – Kavala – Thessaloniki Overnight

After breakfast, we depart for the Ancient Colony of Philippi (Acts 16:11-40). It was built in 356 B.C. by Alexander’s father, Philip II. We will see the Ancient Theatre, the Church of Philippi, founded by Apostle Paul in 49 a.D. It was the first church in European territory. Next stop is the Baptistery of St. Lydia. Then, we return back to the beautiful city of Thessaloniki. Arrival at our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 | Thessaloniki City Tour – Veria – Vergina – Kalambaka Overnight

After breakfast, we will have a City Tour, starting from Saint Dimitrius, where we will pilgrimage the relics of the Saint, admire the mosaics of the Church and also see the spot where the Saint martyred and then, we will visit Agora (Acts 17:1-15). Following that, we will visit the White Tower and the Upper Town, where we will have a panoramic view of Thessaloniki. Then, we depart for the capital of Imathia, which name is Veria. It is built at the foot of Mount Vermio. We will have free time to visit the Step of Apostle Paul and the Synagogue. It is located next to the Barbouta area, which over time came to be known as the Jewish District. The stone-built Synagogue is the most ancient synagogue in the Northern Greece. Then, we will head to Vergina, where we will visit the museum with the four tombs, two of which are the most significant, and a small shrine, the Heroes Garden. Two of the tombs are the most significant, the one of Philip II and the other of Alexander the fourth. Then, we depart for Kalambaka, a beautiful town in Trikala. Arrival at our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay

Day 4 | Meteora – Delphi Overnight

After breakfast, we will depart for Meteora and visit the prefecture built in a rare geological phenomenon of Meteora. It’s a cluster of huge dark colored stones made of sandstone. The name Meteora is attributed to the monk of the monastery, Agios Athanasius the Meteorite. We will have the chance to enjoy the panoramic ride and to visit one of the six visited monasteries. Departure for Delphi. Arrival at our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay

Day 5 | Delphi – Athens Overnight

After breakfast, we will have a visit in Delphi. Ιt was an ancient Greek city in which the most important Oracle of ancient Greek world was operated. Earlier myths include traditions that Pythia, or the Delphic oracle, already was the site of an important oracle in the pre-classical Greek world (as early as 1400 BC) and, rededicated, served as the major site during classical times for the worship of the god Apollo after he slew Python, “a dragon” who lived there and protected the navel of the Earth. We will be guided around the Archaeological Site and the Museum. Departure for Athens. Arrival at our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay

Day 6 | Athens – Athens Overnight

After breakfast, we will have a Guided Tour starting from the Panathenaic Stadium known as Kallimarmaro. In Antiquity was used for the celebration of Panathenea in honour of Goddess Athena. You will have free time to take photos. Boarding the coach and departure to see the Zappeion Hall, the Greek Parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the symbolic monument in the memory of the Soldiers who died for their country. Then, along Panepistimiou Street, one of the most central streets of Athens, we will see the triad of neoclassical buildings: The Library, the Academy and the University. We will visit Mars Hill (Acts 17:16-34) and the Acropolis with magnificent monuments such as the Parthenon, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion, the Propylaea, the Ancient Agora, the theatre of Dionysus and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus. We will have the chance to walk around the Parthenon Monument, which was built in the 5th century BC by the architects Ictinus and Kallikrates. Then, we will have free time in the traditional settlement of Plaka – a district just beneath the Acropolis. Return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 | Ancient Corinth – Athens Overnight

After breakfast, we will depart for Peloponnese. Our first stop will be the Isthmus of Corinth. It is a narrow strip of land 6 kilometers in length joining Central Greece with Peloponnese. We will have free time to take photos. Then, we begin with the Ancient Corinth, which was an important city – state in Ancient Greece and dates back from the Neolithic Period (5.000-3.000). We will visit one of the largest museums in Greece, in terms of the wealth and quality of the findings (Acts 18:1-18, 19:22). We will see the bema of Gallio and the Erastus inscription. Return to Athens. Free time at the city center. Dinner and overnight stay

Day 8 | Athens Airport – Naples Airport – Pompeii – Rome Overnight

After breakfast, we will be transferred to Athens Airport for our flight to Naples. Arrival to Naples and visit Pompeii, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, owing to its status as “the only archaeological site in the world that provides a complete picture of an ancient Roman city”. Then, departure for Rome to visit (time permitting) the Catacombs of St. Callistus and St. Paul’s Basilica Outside the Walls. Later, enjoy free time for relaxation and reflection on this city, full of wonder and inspiration, through which Apostles Paul and Peter impacted the whole Roman Empire. Arrival at our hotel in Rome. Dinner and overnight stay

Day 9 | Rome – Rome Overnight

After breakfast, we will travel back to the days of the Roman Empire. Walking tour including a visit to the Roman Colosseum (inside visit), the Arch of Constantine, the Roman Forum and Mamertine Prison (Acts: 27-28). Continue to St. Peter in Chains Church and the Pantheon. Transfer back to our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10 | Rome – Rome Overnight

After breakfast, we will enjoy a full day tour with visits to the Vatican Museums, the Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica, Santa Pudenziana Church, Santa Prassede Basilica and San Paolo al Regola Church. Return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 11 | Departure Rome Airport

After breakfast, we will depart for Rome Airport, carrying with us the wonderful memories and experiences of this unforgettable journey.
