Day 1 | Arrival Athens Airport – Kamena Vourla* Overnight
We arrive at Athens International Airport and drive across the plains of Thebes home of the legendary Sphinx – before continuing toward Lake Yliki and Kamena Vourla. In the evening, enjoy a sunset stroll along the Gulf of Kamena Vourla, the route from which St. Paul once sailed to Athens. Dinner and overnight stay. * From November to March, the overnights are in Delphi

Day 2 | Arachova – Delphi – Kamena Vourla Overnight
Drive to Mount Parnassus and visit the Holy Monastery of Jerusalem, whose architecture is inspired by the New Jerusalem described in John 21:13. Enjoy short nature walks through the cedar forest leading to a hermit’s cave, and take in the panoramic views over the Valley of Boeotia. Continue to Arachova, the renowned shepherds’ village, and admire the sweeping views of the Ionian Sea. Proceed to Delphi to visit the archaeological museum, where you will see the Gallio Inscription— an essential reference for dating the life of Paul (Acts 18:12)—as well as the Sphinx of Thebes and the Temple of Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, reflecting the philosophical background of Paul as a Hellenized Jew. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 | Meteora – Kalambaka Overnight
Drive to Meteora, one of Europe’s most breathtaking landscapes, renowned for its six monasteries perched atop towering rock formations. Enjoy a short nature walk in Agios Athanasios and take in the panoramic view of the “stone mushroom” of Agia Triada. Visit the western monasteries and learn about St. Paul, regarded as the first Christian hermit. In the evening, experience a tour of the illuminated cliffs of Meteora. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 | Vergina – Veria – Thessaloniki Overnight
Visit Vergina to see the golden treasures of the ancient kings of Macedonia. Continue to Veria for a walk along the Barbouta River through the old Jewish quarter. Visit the ancient synagogue and the Step where Paul addressed the Bereans (Acts 17). Then drive along the Aegean coast to Thessaloniki. Explore the Jewish quarter, including the synagogue, the ancient Jewish bathhouse, and the Modiano Market (Acts 17, 1 Thessalonians 1). Arrival at our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 | Philippi – Kavala – Thessaloniki Overnight
Drive east to Philippi and visit Paul’s jail (Acts 16), the early Christian basilica, and the Greco-Roman circular theater. Continue to the Lydia Baptismal Site on the banks of the Zigakti River (Acts 16:15). We then proceed to Kavala for a panoramic view of the port of Neapolis—the first place where Paul set foot in Europe (Acts 16:7–11). Take a short walk along the Via Egnatia, following the same route Paul traveled on his way to Thessaloniki. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 6 | Mt. Olympus – Larissa Overnight
Drive across the Macedonian river delta toward Mount Olympus. Visit the scenic village of Litochoro, then continue into Greece’s largest nature reserve – Mount Olympus. Take a nature walk near Stavros and enjoy panoramic views of Mytikas, the legendary seat of the gods. Visit Agios Dionysius, the historic monastery named after the first Athenian converted by Paul (Acts 17:34). Continue on to Larissa and arrival at our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7 | Larissa – Mt. Metamorphosis – Athens
Overnight Larissa: Visit the Ancient Roman Theatre and the Byzantine Acropolis. Then drive up to Mount Metamorphosis to enjoy sweeping views of the Gulf of Kamena Vourla. A short walk leads to the monastery commemorating the Transfiguration of Jesus. Explore the monastic gardens and the church, known for its renowned depiction of the Transfiguration. Continue on to Athens. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8 | Athens – Ancient Corinth – Athens
Overnight We begin at the Acropolis and Mars Hill, where Paul addressed the Athenians near the altar to the Unknown God (Acts 17), converting Dionysius and Damaris. We then drive past key city landmarks, from the Royal Palace to the first Olympic Stadium, and enjoy some free time in the Plaka Market. In the afternoon, we follow the Saronic Gulf to the Corinthian Canal. We will visit ancient Corinth and the Roman sites connected with Paul’s ministry, including the Agora, the Bema, the Temple of Apollo, and Gallio’s Seat. Return to our hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 09 | Athens – Athens Airport Departure
After breakfast, we will have some leisure time, depending on our flight departure. Then, we will head to Athens Airport and return home with wonderful memories
