Proceed to Delphi to visit the archaeological museum, where you will see the Gallio Inscription an essential reference for dating the life of Paul (Acts 18:12) – as well as the Sphinx of Thebes and the Temple of Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, reflecting the philosophical background of Paul as a Hellenized Jew. Day 10 | Kusadasi – Ephesus – Patmos – Overnight on board

Early in the morning, the ship arrives at the port of Kusadasi. Our Ancient Ephesus Bus Tour takes us on a journey through the golden ages that shaped this pivotal center of commerce and spirituality. Founded 3,000 years ago, Ephesus influenced Greek, Turkish, and early Christian civilizations from its strategic location—chosen, according to legend, by the oracle of Delphi. A major site of pilgrimage thanks to its proximity to the Temple of Artemis (one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World) and its connection to key Christian figures—the apostles Paul and John, as well as the Virgin Mary—Ephesus is now one of the largest Roman archaeological sites in the Mediterranean. The splendor of its golden age is evident throughout its remarkably well-preserved streets and monuments. As we explore this UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will encounter centuries of cultural vitality reflected in the Agora, the Odeon, the Patrician Houses, the Temple of Hadrian, and the magnificent Library of Celsus. We will also have the opportunity to shop for local goods, including carpets, leather items, and souvenirs. We then return to the ship and sail for Patmos, where we will visit the Monastery of St. John and the Grotto of the Revelation. In the early evening, we reboard the ship and set sail for Crete.

Day 11 | Crete – Santorini – Overnight on board

Early in the morning, the ship arrives at the port of Heraklion*. Here, you will have the opportunity to join an excellent optional excursion to Knossos and explore the ruins of the Palace of King Minos.
