In Antiquity, the Stadium was used for\u00a0Panathenea<\/strong>, the celebration held in honour of\u00a0Goddess Athena<\/strong>. With the bus we will be heading to\u00a0Zappeion Hall<\/strong>, the\u00a0Greek Parliament<\/strong>, the\u00a0Tomb of the Unknown Soldier<\/strong>, the\u00a0Library<\/strong>, the\u00a0Academy<\/strong>, and the\u00a0University<\/strong>. Next is our most important visit in the centre of Athens, the\u00a0Acropolis<\/strong>. Here we will have the chance to admire magnificent monuments, such as the\u00a0Parthenon<\/strong>, the\u00a0Temple of Athena Nike<\/strong>, the\u00a0Erechtheion<\/strong>, the\u00a0Propylaea<\/strong>, the\u00a0Ancient<\/strong>\u00a0Agora<\/strong>, the\u00a0theatre of Dionysus<\/strong>\u00a0and the\u00a0Odeon of Herodes Atticus<\/strong>, the\u00a0Parthenon<\/strong>, the\u00a0Acropolis Museum<\/strong>. Then, we will be heading to one of the most historical municipalities of Greece,\u00a0Marathon<\/strong>. It became known by the homonymous battle that took place in September 490 BC between the Athenians and the Persians. First, we will visit the\u00a0Marathon<\/strong>\u00a0Lake<\/strong>. It is an artificial lake made in order to collect water to be used for the water supply of Athens. Then, we will visit the\u00a0Museum of Marathon Race<\/strong>. All the\u00a0Marathon racers medals<\/strong>\u00a0are kept in here, as well as that of the\u00a0Olympic Winner \u201cSpyros Louis\u201d<\/strong>. Afterwards, we will visit the\u00a0Archaeological Museum of Marathon<\/strong>\u00a0and then\u00a0Tumulus<\/strong>, with nine meters height of soil that covered the 192 Athenians who fell in the victorious battle against the Persians in 490 BC Next important visit is\u00a0Ramnous<\/strong>. It is an archaeological area that belonged to the Atlantic race. \u0399n this area the famous\u00a0sanctuary of Nemesis<\/strong>\u00a0is located, the most important sanctuary of Divinity in Greece.
