In Antiquity, the Stadium was used for Panathenea<\/strong>, the celebration head in honor<\/strong>of Goddess Athena<\/strong>. Free time for photos will be given. With the bus we will be heading for Zappeion Hall<\/strong>, the Greek Parliament<\/strong> and the Tomb of Unknown Soldier<\/strong>, which is a symbolic monument dedicated to the memory of the soldiers who died fighting for their country. Passing along Panepistimiou Street<\/strong>, one of the most known and central streets of Athens<\/strong>, we will end up in the triad of neoclassical buildings: The Library<\/strong>, the Academy<\/strong> and the University<\/strong>. Coming next is our most important visit in the center of Athens<\/strong>, Acropolis<\/strong>. Here we will have the chance to admire magnificent monuments, such as Parthenon<\/strong>, the Temple of Athena Nike<\/strong>, the Erechtheion<\/strong>, the Propilaia<\/strong>, the Ancient Agora<\/strong>, the theatre of Dionysus<\/strong> and the Odeon of Herodes Atticus<\/strong>. We will have time for a tour in Parthenon Monument<\/strong>, which was built in the 5th<\/sup> century B.C<\/strong> by the architects Ictinus <\/strong>andKallikrates<\/strong>. A visit in the New Acropolis Museum<\/strong> follows, which mainly includes findings of the archaeological area of Acropolis<\/strong>. The Museum <\/strong>first opened in 2009 and the building was designed by French-Swiss BenarTschumi<\/strong>. It is considered one of the most beautiful museums.
