Day 1 | Arrival Thessaloniki Airport \u2013 Overnight<\/h3>\n

Arrive at Thessaloniki Airport and transfer to Greece\u2019s second-largest city, Thessaloniki. The city was founded by Cassander, a successor of Alexander the Great. Enjoy some free time, depending on the arrival of our flight. Day 2 | Thessaloniki – Philippi – Thessaloniki Overnight<\/h3>\n

After breakfast, we depart for the ancient city of Philippi (Acts 16:11\u201340), founded in 356 B.C. by Philip II, the father of Alexander the Great. Here we will visit the Ancient Theatre and the Church of Philippi, established by the Apostle Paul in 49 A.D.\u2014the first Christian church on European soil. Our next stop is the Baptistery of St. Lydia of Philippi. We continue to Kavala to enjoy its charming port before returning to Thessaloniki. Along the way, we will pause briefly to admire the famous Lion of Amphipolis. Day 3 | Thessaloniki – Veria – Kalambaka Overnight<\/h3>\n

After breakfast, we begin our city tour of Thessaloniki, starting at the Church of Saint Demetrius, where we will venerate the saint\u2019s relics, admire the church\u2019s mosaics, and visit the site of his martyrdom. We then continue to the Agora (Acts 17:1\u201315), followed by stops at the White Tower and the Upper Town for a panoramic view of Thessaloniki. Next, we depart for Veria, the capital of Imathia, located at the foot of Mount Vermio. There we will have free time to visit the Step of the Apostle Paul and the historic stone-built Synagogue, situated next to the Barbouta district, the city\u2019s old Jewish quarter. Day 4 | Kalambaka – Meteora – Delphi Overnight<\/h3>\n

After breakfast, we will depart for Kalambaka and visit the prefecture built in a rare geological phenomenon of Meteora. It\u2019s a cluster of huge dark colored stones made of sandstone. The name Meteora is attributed to the monk of the monastery, Agios Athanasius the Meteorite. We will have the chance to enjoy the panoramic ride and to visit one of the six visited monasteries. Departure for Delphi. A short stop in Thermopylae, where King Leonidas and his 300 Spartan warriors made their heroic stand against the vast Persian army. We continue to our hotel. Day 5 | Delphi – Nafpaktos – Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior- Athens Overnight<\/h3>\n

After breakfast, we will have a visit in Delphi. \u0399t was an ancient Greek city in which the most important Oracle of ancient Greek world was operated. Earlier myths include traditions that Pythia, or the Delphic oracle, already was the site of an important oracle in the pre-classical Greek world (as early as 1400 BC) and, rededicated, served as the major site during classical times for the worship of the god Apollo after he slew Python, “a dragon” who lived there and protected the navel of the Earth. We will be guided around the Archaeological Site and the Museum. Afterwards, we will depart for Nafpaktos, in order to visit the Holy Monastery of the Transfiguration of the Savior. Lunch in the monastery specially prepared by the monks with local products. . During our visit, we will have the opportunity to tour the monastery’s museum, which houses many artifacts from the workshop of the National Archaeological Museum of Athens. Additionally, we will engage in meaningful discussions with the monks, exchanging beliefs and ideas, and gain insight into the daily life of the monastic community. Departure for Athens. Arrival to our hotel. Day 6 | Athens Overnight<\/h3>\n

After breakfast we depart for a City Tour starting from the Panathenaic Stadium known as Kallimarmaro. In Antiquity was used for the celebration of Panathenea in honour of Goddess Athena. You will have free time to take photos. Boarding the coach and departure to see the Zappeion Hall, the Greek Parliament and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the symbolic monument in the memory of the Soldiers who died for their country. Then, along Panepistimiou Street, one of the most central streets of Athens, we will see the triad of neoclassical buildings: The Library, the Academy and the University. We will visit Mars Hill (Acts 17:16-34) and Acropolis. In the morning, we will have free time (depends on the departure time of our flights). Day 7 | Athens – Ancient Corinth – Greek Bible College – Athens Overnight<\/h3>\n

After breakfast, we will depart for Ancient Corinth, which was an important city – state in Ancient Greece and dates back from the Neolithic Period (5.000-3.000). We will visit one of the largest Museums in Greece, in terms of the wealth and quality of the findings (Acts 18:1-17 & Acts 19:22). We will see the Bema of Gallio and the Erastus Inscription. Also, we will visit Cenchreae (Acts 18:18) and AcroCorinth, before travelling back to Athens. Also, we will have a short stop to the Isthmus of Corinth. It is a narrow strip of land 6 kilometers in length joining Central Greece with Peloponnese. Afterwards we depart for Athens. We will visit the Greek Bible College, where we will have the opportunity to learn about the Evangelical Church in Greece and gain valuable insights into its mission and role within the country. The Greek Bible College is dedicated to serving Greek evangelical churches, with a vision to inspire, train, and equip individuals with a heart for service. Their mission is to prepare students to contribute to the growth and development of Christian churches in Greece and globally, to the glory of God, while developing their skills in communicating the message of the Holy Scripture and the Christian faith.
